Have you ever wanted to be a cowboy???

We are a family oriented Old West re-enactment and shooting club.  The goal of our club is to promote interest in and teach the old cowboy ways in order to keep this lifestyle alive.  We promote better knowledge on the part of our members for safe handling and proper care of firearms as well as improved marksmanship.  We work to develop characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self discipline and team play which are essential for good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

The Rangers belief in the Cowboy Way is reverence for the history of this great nation; it defines who and what we are.  We wish to keep the Cowboy Way strong, believing all people are important and promoting the heritage of our country as the Old West history deserves.  Then and only then can we call ourselves The Bitter Creek Rangers.

The Bitter Creek Rangers are a SASS® affiliated Cowboy Action Shooting®  club in Crossville, TN.  Our range is located at the Fairfield Glade Sportsmen's Club off of I-40 (Peavine Rd.) Exit 322.

 

 

 

 

9am Central Time

- Match starts immediately following the safety meeting.
- We are a SASS® affiliated club and all SASS® rules apply.

Our match usually consists of 5 stages (unless the heat dictates we cut it to three) . Targets are steel plates, placed from 10-50 yards. Bring approximately 50 rounds of pistol ammunition, 50 rounds of rifle (pistol caliber) ammunition, and 25 shotgun shells (lead #7 maximum size). Always bring a little extra ammo, just in case.
The guns needed are 2 pistols (single action), 1 rifle (pistol caliber, pump, or lever action), and 1 shotgun (20,16, or 12 gauge). If you don't have all the gear, don't worry we usually have shooters happy to loan them. Remember that eye and ear protection is required...so bring your ear plugs and safety glasses. New shooters and visitors are always welcome. Cost is $10.00 per shooter.
